How to configure Chrome proxy settings

Step by step instructions on how to use proxies in Chrome browser.

How to setup proxy in Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. Go to Chrome Settings > Advanced > Open Proxy Settings.

  3. Edit your proxy settings. Depending on your operating system, this step will vary: Windows or Mac.
    Windows
    • Click on LAN settings in the Connections tab of Internet Properties
    • Check Icon For Done-circle Use a proxy server for your LAN under Proxy server
    • Add endpoint in the Address section (e.g. us.proxyland.io)
    • Add port in the Port section (e.g. 8080)

    Mac
    • Select the proxy you want to edit on the left side of the page(HTTP or HTTPS) in the Connections tab of Internet Properties
    • Add endpoint in the Address section (e.g. us.proxyland.io)
    • (Optional) Change the bypassed sites in the Bypass field
    • (Optional) Insert sub-user username and password in the Username and Password fields

  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Check the IP using Chrome browser – https://www.iplocation.net/
